Lori Lynn (Rodriguez) Rodriguez-Stevens

Lori  Rodriguez-Stevens, 33, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 23, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Lori was born December 15, 1986, in Monterey Park, California, to Robert A. Rodriguez and Julie Weaver.  She grew up and attended schools in Los Angeles, CA, and graduated from Wilson High School.  She also attended Pasadena City College where she earned her dental assistant.

In 2006 she met the love of her life, Michael Stevens. They enjoyed spending time with their family and friends, camping, and taking short trips and in general just enjoying each other in life.

On July 27, 2014, Lori and Michael finally tied the knot in “traditional Lori” fashion with an Elvis wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lori and Michael made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Lori worked as a restaurant manager for Café Mikes.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.  She was an avid animal lover, which led her to volunteer at rescue centers in the community helping in many fundraisers and fostering animals. She was always bringing home animals in need of rescuing. She enjoyed painting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. To meet Lori was to love Lori. She was loyal to friends and friends always became family.

Lori is survived by her loving husband, Michael Taylor Stevens of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Cameron Stevens of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Robert A.(Alice) Rodriguez of Los Angeles, CA; Sister, Jessie James of Florida; brother, Robert (Sylvia) Luna of Los Angeles, CA; and brother, Rene Jaramillo of Los Angeles, CA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Weaver of Florida.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday evening, October 29, 2020, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
