Lori Flatland

Click Here To View Memorial Video Lori Ann Flatland, 49, of Moscow, Idaho, passed away November 25, 2014, at Deary, Idaho. Lori was born March 4, 1965, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Mark Reed Hansen and Dayna Sue Terrell Hansen. She graduated from Salmon High School. On August 19, 1980, she married Mark Flatland in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. To this union were born seven children, Todd, Nicholas, Joshua, Christopher, Paul, Kimberley, and Jenna. Lori and Mark made their home in Idaho Falls. She and Mark were later divorced. Lori developed a love of teaching while home schooling her own children. She had been attending the University of Idaho in Moscow for the past two years working on her teaching degree. Lori worked as a coordinator for a group home for special needs adults in Moscow. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a nursery leader. She was an avid reader, loved spending time with her family, enjoyed shopping and had an interest in theatrical arts. Lori is survived by her parents, Mark and Dani Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Todd Benjamin (Kristina Lyn) Flatland of Pocatello, ID; son, Nicholas John Flatland (William Rufus Porter) of Tucson, AZ; son, Joshua Alan Flatland of Moscow, ID; son, Christopher James (Sonya Dawn) Flatland of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Paul Jordan (Kelsee) Flatland of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kimberley Rachel Flatland of Moscow, ID; daughter, Jenna Marie Flatland of Moscow, ID; grandchildren, Brenya Dawn, Braxon James, and Paul Jordan Flatland, Jr.; brother, Jim (Teri) Hansen of Post Falls, ID; brother, Terry (Bethany) Hansen of Ucon, ID; brother, Kevin (Tammie) Hansen of Delco, ID; grandmother, Wilma Louisa Terrell of Blackfoot, ID. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Emma Flatland. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with Bishop Randall Wheeler officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
