Lorene Martha Jenkins Geisler, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 22, 2014, at her home.
Lorene was born November 15, 1928, in Forsyth, Missouri, to Joseph M. Jenkins and Ola M. Brumfield Jenkins. She spent her early years in Missouri, then moved with her family to Wilder, Idaho, where she graduated from Wilder High School.
On August 20, 1950, she married Blair M. Geisler in Rigby, Idaho. Lorene and Blair made their homes in Caldwell and Driggs, before settling in Idaho Falls, where they resided for the past 60 years. Lorene was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was employed by Idaho Power in Caldwell and was active in the family business, Geisler Farm Supply.
Lorene enjoyed bowling, fishing, and travel. She set two records in the 1962 Women’s City Bowling Tournament and was all-events champion. She also won the Elks Springtime Doubles Bowling Tournament in 1981. She loved to fish with friends and family, especially with her girlfriends at the Blackfoot Reservoir. She traveled extensively with Blair and after his passing, she continued to travel with her family worldwide. Lorene was fortunate to enjoy an active lifestyle and was in perfect health up until her sudden passing. Her smile and great sense of humor will be dearly missed.

daughter, Suzanne (Blake) McMurtrey of Idaho Falls, ID,
sister, Gladys Warren of Roseburg, OR,.
10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and five brothers, Henry Jenkins, Preston Jenkins, Johnny Jenkins, Clarence Jenkins, and Lonnie Jenkins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends prior to the funeral from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery followed by an open house luncheon at 4 p.m. at the Steve Geisler residence, 51 S. Lavaside Road, Blackfoot, ID.
