Lora Louise Gardner White Hayes, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 21, 2012, at the Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 16, 1935, in Ely, Nevada to Joseph Nathaniel Gardner and Ellen Adella Daniels Gardner. She attended Rigby Elementary and Middle Schools. Her family moved to California where she graduated from Morgan Hill High School. She continued her education at East Idaho Technical College where she received her Associate Degree in Accounting.
On November 14, 1953, she married Louis Edward Hayes in Roberts, Idaho. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2002. She was a mother and homemaker. She also worked at Idaho Drug in Rigby; as a bookkeeper at Beaverhead Laboratory Foundation in Dillon, Montana and Electrolux in Idaho Falls; and for the United States Census Bureau in Idaho Falls.
She was active in the PTA in Dillon, Montana and served as PTA President. She was a Democratic Party Zone Leader and served as a leader in the Girl Scout Program.
Lora was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, painting, designing and selling jewelry, and reading mysteries. She especially loved raising her children and grandchildren and spending time with them.

8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, John David Louis Fors.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Central LDS Stake Center (2025 Jennie Lee Drive) with Bishop Kenneth Rhode, of the Idaho Falls 26th Ward, officiating. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
