Lora Jean Hansen, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 23, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Lora was born August 16, 1949, in American Falls, Idaho, to Clarence Eugene Dallimore and Ruth Allred Dallimore. She grew up and attended schools in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen High School. She also graduated from Utah State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. On August 16, 1973, she married Ronald Wayne Hansen in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. To this union were born five children, Richard, Eric, Michelle, David, and Michael. Lora and Wayne made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Lora worked as a teacher at Hillview Elementary School. Prior to having her children, she taught at Dora Erickson Elementary School, and taught speed reading. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various callings, including Primary President and visiting teacher supervisor. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano, sewing, and cooking. Lora is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Wayne Hansen of Idaho Falls; son, Eric Roger (Amy Jo) Hansen of Idaho Falls; daughter, Michelle Sharee (Chase) Parmer of Layton, UT; son, David Boyd (Angela) Hansen of Logan, UT; son, Michael Steven Hansen of Amarillo, TX; sister, Arlene (Mike) Petersen of Providence, UT; brother, Dean (Rulene) Dallimore of Rigby, ID; brother, Kelvin (Vivian) Dallimore of Idaho Falls; 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard Wayne Hansen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Ammon LDS 4th Ward, 4375 East Sunnyside Road, with Bishop Eric Bodily officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
