LOLA "LUCY" NEFF
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lola Avon “Lucy” Winder Neff, 73, of Idaho Falls, died March 28, 2006, at Life Care Center in Ammon.
She was born May 20, 1933, at Roberts, to William Orden Winder and Dora Larue Fullmer Winder. She grew up in Ammon and Idaho Falls and attended schools in Idaho Falls. Her family had trouble making ends meet and Lola had a job from the time she was 12. She quit high school at 16 to work full time, but years later earned her diploma.
When 17 years old, she married Owen Taylor in Idaho Falls. They were divorced a year and a half later. On March 26, 1953, she married Bradford Neff. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2003. She was a homemaker who worked occasionally outside the home.
She was active in cancer support groups and worked with the Cancer Society as a volunteer to support women newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed bowling, rock-hounding, metal-detecting, gardening, camping and travelling. Lola loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren; Laural, Tim, Crista, and Matthew.

Brother: Orden Winder, Idaho Falls
Brother: Deloy Winder, Sandy, Utah
Sister: Bonnie Howes, Idaho Falls
Sister: Reita Ruppe, Vernal, Utah
4 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Bishop Kerry Holmgren of the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer Foundation, Oregon-Greater Idaho Chapter, 1311 NW 21st Avenue, Portland, OR 97209
