Lois Wold

Lois Ruth (Stoltenberg) Wold passed away peacefully in Star Valley, Wyoming on July 18, 2014 at the age of 89. Lois was born in Idaho Falls to Francis and Clara Stoltenberg on February 11, 1925, and grew up in Swan Valley, Idaho. After graduating from High school she attended Holy Cross School of Nursing in Salt Lake City and received her nursing degree. She then moved to Spokane to live with her sister, Millie, and work at the Holy Cross Hospital there. When Lois was 16 she met Lamont Wold, it was love at first sight. Five long years later, on October 3, 1946, they were married in Spokane, Washington. They returned to Idaho Falls to raise their family and were the proud parents of 7 children (3 girls and 4 boys). Lois worked as a Registered Nurse for years. She also loved to sew, crochet, do the daily crossword puzzle and crypto grams, spend time in her flower garden, read books (especially the mysteries), travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After losing the love of her life in 1993, she continued to live a full and wonderful life. She was blessed that she possessed independence in both body and mind. She traveled throughout North America never saying no to a new place or adventure. She spent her time with family and friends. Lois left this world with no regrets. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lamont; son-in-law, Michael; grandson, John; granddaughter, Kimberly; sisters, Mildred and Marie; brothers, Leslie, Herbert, Harvey, Eldon and Eugene. She is survived by her children; Linda Driscoll of Port Orchard, WA; Dianne (Jim) Hilliard of Eagan, MN, Carol (Carl) Satchell of Colorado Springs, CO, Kenyon (Julie) Wold of Idaho Falls, Scott (LaWanda) Wold of Idaho Falls, Robert (Jamie) Wold of Salem, OR, and Roger (Kitty) Wold of Port Orchard, WA; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Ramona Prophet of Boise; brother, Ronald (Marilyn) Stoltenberg of Star Valley WY; and many nieces and nephews.
