LOIS TRACY IDAHO FALLS, ID - Lois R. Tracy, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away on April 22, 2005, at her home from natural causes. She was born May 16, 1921, in Ucon, Idaho, to Joseph Andrew Ritchie and Pearl May Hobley Ritchie. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon, graduating from high school in 1939. She also graduated from Henager's Business College in Salt Lake City in 1940. She married Jean R. Tracy December 2, 1942, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She and her husband owned and operated the family farm their entire lives. In addition, they owned and operated Tracy Real Estate from 1976 to 1982. He preceded her in death October 23, 1991. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served in many stake and ward callings throughout her life; she loved music and offered much service in many musical callings. She and her husband served as Mission Directors at the New York City Visitors Center from 1982 to 1984. She was a talented vocalist and sang with the Chansonettes and the Sounds choirs for many years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are: Son: Carl Jean Tracy, Ucon, ID Daughter: Sharon (Norman) Ricks, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Jolene (Mike) Arave, Layton, UT Son: Lyle Joseph (Julie) Tracy, Ucon, ID Sister: Leah (Milton) Brinton, Provo, UT 16 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 brother, 1 sister, and 2 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005, at the Ucon LDS 2nd Ward, 10854 North 41st East, with Bishop Timothy Solomon officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and for one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
