Lois Fey Hungerford, 97, passed away January 24, 2024, at home in Idaho Falls, with her loving family by her side; where she was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.
Lois was born on April 6, 1926, in Elizabeth, NJ, to William Fey and Lydia Charlotte Telefson Fey. She grew up and attended schools in New Jersey and graduated from Battin High School.
In April of 1948, she married William Brown Hungerford in Elizabeth, NJ. Lois and William had three children and Lois worked diligently as a full-time homemaker.
She was an active member of both the Elizabeth Baptist Church and Scotch Plains Baptist Churches during her lifetime. Lois was an accomplished seamstress and quilt maker, who did extensive needlepoint work.
She was widowed of April of 1997, she relocated to Houston, TX in 2013, and resided there until she needed care from her daughter Leslie, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she lived out the rest of her days.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Leslie (David) McKinney of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lynn (Paul Hariri) Hungerford of Houston, TX; daughter, Laurie (Paul) Flint of Portland, OR; granddaughters, Lauren McKinney, Lindsey McKinney, and Carly Flint.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brown Hungerford; father, William Fey; mother, Lydia Fey; sister, Charlotte Hunt; brother, Edward Fey; and brother, Robert Fey.
Services will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
