Lloyd Wright

Lloyd Dean Wright, 73, of Shelley, passed away on August 4, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 24, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ewin Wright and Irene Cook Wright. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.

On May 27, 1960, he married Diane Novas in Idaho Falls. To this union were born two children: Eddie and Sherrie. Lloyd and Diane were later divorced. On May 20, 1995, he married Sharree K. Peterson in Idaho Falls. He worked in sales at Drewes Distributing.

Lloyd enjoyed fishing, ATV riding, boating, camping, and stock car racing. He also enjoyed building fishing rods and ATV trailers, and was skilled as a welder. His latest adventure was being a crew chief for his son and grandson’s race cars. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Sharree Wright of Shelley, ID; Son, Eddie D. Wright of Shelley, ID; Daughter, Sherrie L. Wright of Idaho Falls, ID; Step-son, Troy (Tammy) Young of Phoenix, AZ; Step-daughter, Tracie K (Joe) Fish of Kansas City, MO; Brother, Roger (Arlene) Wright of Idaho Falls, ID; Grandson, Tyson White of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
