Lloyd Neuman

Lloyd George Neuman, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 11, 2017, after a short illness, at his home. Lloyd was born November 17, 1950, in Glendale, California, to Dr. Leonard A. Neuman and Lois Johnstone Fischer. After graduating from high school, he joined the military and served as a Navy Submariner on the USS Shark during the Vietnam War. On April 21, 1978, he married Debra Kay Miller in Arco, Idaho. To this union were born four children, Amy, Stephanie, Chris and Bryan. Lloyd and Debby eventually made their home in Arco, Idaho, where Lloyd worked as a Reactor Operator for Argonne National Laboratory. They moved to Idaho Falls in 2000. In his early life, he enjoyed miniature train sets, sailing, snowmobiling, motorcycles, skiing and tinkering with anything mechanical, especially cars. He went on to be an early adopter of computing technologies, found a passion for R/C Airplanes and loved singing bass in any choir within reach. Petty Officer Second Class Lloyd "Chainfall" Neuman cemented his french horn skills in the military band. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Debra Neuman of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Amy (Andrew) Lake of Clearfield, UT, daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Wheeler of Caldwell, ID, son, Christopher (Dondy) Neuman of Silverton, OR, son, Bryan (Heather) Huntsman of Idaho Falls, ID, father, Dr. Leonard (Beverly) Neuman of AK, brother, Lon Neumann of CA, brother, Lance Neuman of CA, brother, Cort (Minda) Neuman of AK, brother, Jon Stafford of CA, 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Fischer, brother, Thom Neumann and brother, Detlef Fischer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017, at the Idaho Falls Parley Ward, 2055 Coronado, with Bishop Karl Winegar officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
