Lloyd "L.A." Mcdonald

Lloyd "L.A." McDonald, 77, of Menan, passed away July 22, 2019, at Sage Grove Assisted Living in Rigby, Idaho. He was under the care of Alliance Hospice.

L.A. was born August 3, 1941, in Seattle, Washington, to Lloyd Alexander McDonald and Evelyn Josephine Meline McDonald. He grew up and attended schools in Washington, Montana.

L.A. & Gloria Gillman of Montana were married in Blackfoot, Idaho, together they then returned to Montana, where they had six children: Arla, Lloyd Jr., Tracy, Jason, Natalie, and an infant daughter Debbie, who passed away at six months from SIDS. L.A. and Gloria were later divorced but remained friends over the years.

L.A. was self-employed most of his life, his retirement years were spent living with his family in Menan, Idaho and working, for Northwest Drivers, transporting cars for Hertz Car Sales.

L.A. was a pilot, loved airplanes and flying. He also enjoyed boating, golf, and entertaining. He was a very kind man and had a great love for the Lord; he was a member of the Calvary Christian Church in Idaho Falls.

He is survived by Gloria McDonald of Billngs Montana; daughter, Arla Mars of Fargo, North Dakota; son, Tracy McDonald of Maricopa, Arizona; son, Jason McDonald of Billings, Montana; daughter, Natalie Kliebenstein of Oceanside, California; brother, Howard (Lorraine) McDonald of Menan, ID; brother, Pat McDonald of Boise, ID; sister, Nancy Walker of Nampa, ID; nephew, Lynn (Michelle) Rushton of Menan, ID; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Sandra Diane Schaffer; an infant daughter, Debbie; and his son, Lloyd McDonald Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. October 5, 2019, at Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
