Lloyd James Hurley, 70, of Ammon, passed away on February 21, 2015, in Mesa, Arizona.
He was born October 5, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Melvin Miles Hurley and Vera Empey Hurley. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.
On February 20, 1965, he married Carol A. Richins in Idaho Falls. He worked as a Grounds Superintendent for the Idaho Falls Country Club and Foreman for the State of Idaho. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, built his own home, was a Jack of all Trades and could repair anything.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling and restoring old cars. He loved horse packing and was a member of the Eagle Rock Kennel Club.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael and his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Ammon LDS 22nd Ward Building (2200 Stafford Drive) with Bishop Dan Jewell officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Wood Funeral Home, PO Box 51434, Idaho Falls, ID 83405 to assist with funeral expenses.
