Linda Jean Chaffin Warner, 60, formerly of Swan Valley, died December 3, 2011 at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Linda was born June 7, 1951, in Tucson, Arizona to Lewis Dean Kelsey and Alice Opearl Fortner Kelsey. Later, her mom married Fred Chaffin and he raised her as his own and was very much her dad.
She grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho and graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1969. She continued her education at Idaho State University.
On June 7, 1975, she married Howard Spencer “Spence” Warner at the Chapel in the Valley located in Swan Valley, Idaho. Together they raised two daughters, Aliccia and Darcy. Linda and Spence were very loving and attentive parents and provided everything for their girls.
Linda was a wonderful mother and a devoted wife. She was the collections manager at Jensen’s Jewlers for eleven years. Later, she and Spence built, owned, and operated the South Fork Lodge and restaurant in Swan Valley, Idaho. Linda and Spence worked side by side aa a great team. Though the years, they made many friends from around the world who not only customers, but became dear friends. Linda’s mother, “Sweet Alice” was the manager of the Lodge; they were the best friends and remained close until the end of Alice’s life.
Linda was a member of the Elks Club and the Eagles Lodge. Linda was very creative and had a great sense of style and design. She enjoyed arts, crafts, and particularly drawing and oil painting. Linda enjoyed entertaining her friends and family. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren – they were her whole life.
Linda loved her home in Lake Havasu. She was so happy in the warm sun drinking her cold cocktail. Cheers, mama! We love you and you will be missed.
