Linda Roberts

Linda Elizabeth Rogers Roberts, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 16, 2018, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls, with her family at her bedside. Linda was born April 19, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Alma Wilson Rogers and Mildred Eardley Rogers. She grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City and graduated from Highland High School. She also attended the University of Utah where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. On June 27, 1968, she married Dean L. Roberts Jr. in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were blessed with six children, Kristin, Travis, Amy, Preston, Heather and Rebecca. Linda and Dean have made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Linda was involved in music from the age of 14. She served in various callings, but especially enjoyed working with children. Linda loved to dabble in all things crafting and for the last several years, was an avid reader. She knit 40 Christmas stockings for each child and grandchild, with the exception of Truman, who was born 22 days ago. She took great enjoyment and pride in her flowers, garden and her 24 grandchildren. She is loved by many and will be missed forever by all. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Dean L. Roberts Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kristin Roberts of Herriman, UT; son, Travis (Rachelle) Roberts of Nazareth, PA; daughter, Amy (Mike) Swensen of Orem, UT; son, Preston (Rachel) Roberts of Lacey, WA; daughter, Heather (Heath) Mitchell of Shelley, ID; daughter, Rebecca (Jake) Clawson of El Paso, TX; and 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Idaho Falls LDS Cedar Ridge Ward, 3195 South Holmes, with Bishop Nolan Jensen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
