On March 24, 2025, Linda Rhea Lanning peacefully passed away in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born on February 24, 1946, in Abilene, Texas, to Lorena and Walter Crocker. Linda's life was characterized by her unwavering dedication and compassion.
During World War II, Walter's military service required the family to relocate to Pleasant Hill, New Mexico, where Linda began her elementary school education. She later graduated from Texaco High School in 1964.
In her early retirement, Linda discovered a profound passion for providing care and support to the elderly, offering in-home health assistance to those in need. She also dedicated herself to establishing and managing a community food closet in Hemet, California, ensuring that her community members had access to essential sustenance.
Upon relocating to Rigby, Idaho with her daughter’s family, Linda embraced her new surroundings with enthusiasm. She found solace in engaging in various crafts and enjoyed watching Hallmark movies.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lorena and Walter Crocker, her sister, Della Virginia Fausholtz, her granddaughter, Elise Christine Fulton, and her nephew, Frederick Christopher Fahsholtz III.
Linda is survived by her three children: Cecil Jerry Edens, Jr., and his wife, Maria Liza Edens, of Rigby, Idaho; daughters Linda Christine Fulton and her husband, Jeff Fulton, also of Rigby, Idaho; and Corena Elaine Ballantine of Poulsbo, Washington. Linda’s extended family, including her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brought her immense joy throughout her life.
