Lilly Rock Mortensen

LILLY L. MORTENSEN IDAHO FALLS, ID - Lilly Luella Rock Mortensen, 91, of Rigby, died April 28, 2005, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 17, 1914, at Hibbard, Idaho, to James Wellington Rock and Lilly May Stevens Rock. She grew up and attended schools in the area. On February 10, 1934, she married Veldon Floyd Mortensen in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 9, 2004. She had worked as a cook at Clair E. Gale Junior High, as a factory worker at U & I Sugar Company, and as a store clerk. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lilly enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting and especially loved being with her family. Surviving are: Son: Floyd Blair (Lorina) Mortensen, Rigby , ID 8 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Veldon Ray and James Errol; five brothers and three sisters. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at the Garfield LDS 2nd Ward (71 North 3700 East, Rigby). The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Rexburg Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Primary Children’s Medical Center, 100 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84113-1100.
