LILLIE DAVID
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Lillie May Machen David, 95, of Idaho
Falls, died December 29, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center
of causes incident to age.
She was born December 27, 1909, in Burton, Idaho, to
Joseph Bellamy Machen and Rose S. Lyman Machen. She lived in Burton for
ten years, then moved to Idaho Falls, where she lived the the remainder
of her life. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
She married Clarence Frederick David September 21, 1929,
in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple
February 16, 1960. She was a farm wife and mother, and also worked in
hotels, managed their rental properties, and enjoyed raising and breeding
dogs. Clarence passed away October 17, 1981.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served in the Young Women Program, the Relief Society, and
Primary. She enjoyed doing fancy handwork, quilting, breeding canaries
and raising farm fowl, flowers and livestock.

Brother: Earnest (Joyce) Machen, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Floyd “Bud” (Joy) Nielsen, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Afton (William) Howlett, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Wanda (Herman) Handy, Idaho Falls, ID
34 Grandchildren, 83Great Grandchildren, 27 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Machen and Rose Nielson,
her husband, a daughter, Calelda Jean, twin sons, three brothers, George,
Earl, and Glen Machen, a sister, Alta Sims, three grandchildren and five
great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January
3, 2005, at Rose Hill Cemetery, S. Rollandet and 21st Street under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home.
