Lillie M. Browning - 12/10/2002 Lillie M. Browning - 12/10/2002 LILLIE M. BROWNING IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lillian Marie “Lillie” Browning, 90, of Idaho Falls, died December 9, 2002, at Idaho Falls Care Center of heart failure. She was born March 3, 1912, at St. Justin, Quebec, Canada, the youngest of three daughters born to Joseph Gougeon and Diana Berneche Gougeon. When she was a small child her parents moved to Westlock, Alberta, Canada, and homesteaded near there. She grew up and attended schools in Westlock. She worked for the American Military at Edmonton Air Base during World War II, where she met her husband, David W. Browning. They were married October 11, 1946, in Pasco, Washington. They lived in Pasco for a few years, then moved to Idaho Falls, where they have lived ever since and she has been a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed square and round dancing, belonged to several dance organizations, and was a talented artist. She enjoyed spending time at their cabin “Paradise” in Island Park, which was a gathering place for many friends and family members. Lillie treasured visits there with her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis & Kathy, and their children, Lisa, Shad, Joel, Jackie, and their families. Surviving are:Husband: David W. Browning, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Dennis [Kathy] Browning, Sandy, UT 4 Grandchildren & 3 Great GrandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Leona and Rita. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Tom Albaugh officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge).
