Lillian Alice Pearl Walton Scott, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away at her daughter’s home on March 1, 2013. Lillian was born September 7, 1924, in Onida, South Dakota to Clarence Sylvester Walton and Ora Valentine Lentz Walton. She grew up and attended various schools in South Dakota and Spirit Lake, Iowa. During World War II, Lillian worked in California making insinuator bombs and bullets for the men in the war. On August 11, 1948 she married Virgil Duwitt Scott in Rigby, Idaho. She was his one and only love. Virgil & Lillian built their own home in Rigby, Idaho and then started having children, five girls to be exact. Lillian also lived in Blackfoot for nine years, and Shelley, Idaho for twelve years. Lillian worked as a homemaker. Virgil passed away August 14, 2001. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held some callings during her earlier years. She sewed all her girls clothing for many years. She loved to put puzzles together. Lillian was very talented at drawing and art, and dearly enjoyed playing the piano for her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed. Lillian is survived by Daughters: Elaine (Kelly) Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; Velma (Jeff) Davidson of Fort Myers, FL; Thelma (Dave) Jones-Eyler of Blackfoot, ID; Shauna (Bruce) Williams of Blackfoot, ID; Sharon Hafterson of Blackfoot, ID; Sister: Etha of California; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil Duwitt Scott, a daughter, Bonnie Lambert, grandson, Jeramy Scott, six sisters and six brothers. Funeral services will be held on 1:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge), with Bishop Ryan Loftus, of the Ucon LDS Homestead Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 to 12:45 prior to services. Burial will be in the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot.
