HARKER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lila Browning Harker, 89, of Idaho Falls, died September 29, 2001, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center of natural causes. She was born April 13, 1912, at Idaho Falls, to James Browning and Ada Poole Browning. She grew up and attended schools at Ozone and in Idaho Falls, where she graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She married William Ernest Harker August 17, 1932, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where she has lived most of her life and been a homemaker and mother. They lived in Lake Havasu City, Arizona for 20 years. Her husband passed away September 20, 1992. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a Relief Society teacher, in the Primary, and sang in the choir. She enjoyed singing, working with the handicapped, tennis, bowling, and pool. She worked as a Pink Lady volunteer at the LDS Hospital. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with Eric Hill, 2nd Counselor in the Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward Bishopric, officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
