LILA GUYMON
MORGAN, UT -- Lila Virginia Lee Guymon, 95, surrounded by her family, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 4, 2002. She can now see the rain, hear the birds, and walk arm in arm with her loving husband, Farrell.
On September 21, 1906, she was born to Niels and Lena Francis Helmandollar Lee in Ammon, Idaho. She was the third child and oldest daughter of ten children. Lila was raised and went to school in Ammon,. In March of 1931 her family moved to Ucon. It was there she met Farrell H. Guymon and they were married December 8, 1933. In the spring of 1936 they bought a farm west of Ucon and it was there their three children were born and raised. In 1955 Farrell took ill with a rheumatic heart. February 19, 1958 they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Farrell died July 14, 1959.
Lila worked the farm for 11 years and at the age of 64 sold the farm. She then moved to Ucon, where she loved her little white house and all the flowers that she grew. Her children, grandchildren and sisters were the love of her life.
Lila was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lila was met with open arms in heaven, by her husband Farrell, her parents, her brothers, Desmond, Clifford and Melvin, her sister, Ora, a stillborn son, and a great granddaughter, Kayla.
Her love, life, and Spirit live on in her sons, Donald [Jerrie] Guymon, currently serving in the Illinois Chicago North Mission, Garry [Judy] Guymon, serving in the West Africa Ivory Coast Mission, a daughter, Janice [Richard] Finlayson of Morgan, Utah, five sisters, Edris Moor of Ririe, Nina Holst of Idaho Falls, Treva Peterson of Rigby, Mae Seedall of Idaho Falls, Fay Melgaard of Idaho Falls, a sister-in-law, Etta “Terry” Lee, of Idaho Falls, 17 Grandchildren, and 44 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2002, at the Ucon LDS Stake Center, 2967 East 105 North, with Bishop Steven Winchester of the Ucon LDS 4th Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Eastside Chapel, 963 South Ammon Road, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.
