Lila Haderlie Burton, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 16, 2010 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Lila was born May 5, 1926 in Freedom, Idaho to Luther Herman “L.H.” Haderlie and Johanna Lindholm Haderlie. She graduated from Star Valley High School before attending the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Dee Rainey Burton on October 13, 1949 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls where Lila has resided for the last 61 years. Lila worked as a secretary in different businesses, primarily in the banking industry. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. Lila enjoyed growing a small garden and flower beds. She was a very good cook and delighted in sharing her kitchen treats with others. She loved being out in the mountains and forests. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Lila was also “Grandma” to a lot of other people. She enjoyed helping others. Survivors include: Daughter: Diane (Jim) Gibson, Taylor, AZ Son: David (Laurie) Burton, Iona, ID Daughter: Julie B. Ferguson (Spence Howard), Arco, ID 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Vera Allred, Carol Welch; four brothers, an unnamed infant, Byron Haderlie, Austin Haderlie, Kermit Haderlie; and two great grandchildren, Trent Gibson and Kalli Allred. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 2nd Ward, 1660 12th Street, with Bishop Mike Phippen officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Funeral Services

Saturday September 25, 2010 , 11:00 a.m. at Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 2nd Ward

The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial in Freedom Cemetery.
