Lewis Smith

Lewis Allan “Louie” Smith, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 17, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of a heart attack. Louie was born September 10, 1934 in Boyd, Wisconsin, to Elmer W. Smith and Freida Adrian Smith. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Sandra Irene Corum on November 20, 1970 in Seattle, Washington. They lived in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Washington, where Louie worked in lumber yards. Sandra and Louie moved to Idaho Falls after retirement. He was a member of the Catholic Community. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, sports, reading, wood working, crafts, and playing the guitar. Survivors include: Wife: Sandra I. Smith, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jason G. (Jolene) Smith, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Gary D. Smith, Idaho Falls, ID Grandsons: Jacob Smith(19) and Jonathan Smith(16, of Idaho Falls Granddaughter: Jessica Smith(18), of Iowa He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; three brothers; and two grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date.
