FORD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lewis Emery "Lew" Ford, 66, of Idaho Falls, died September 10, 2001, on I-15 north of Roberts, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born October 21, 1934, at Idaho Falls, to Milo Daniel Ford and Lula Marie Louise Nickerson Ford. He grew up in Irwin and attended schools there and in Ririe, before going on to Utah State University. He also lived in Logan, Utah and Casper, Wyoming, before coming to Idaho Falls 44 years ago. He married Joyce Dana December 5, 1953, at Thayne, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 22, 1960. He worked for 20 years as a delivery man for Eddie's Bread and has been self-employed the past 10 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed horses, mules, his children and grandchildren, hunting, coaching baseball, and farming. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman 2nd Ward, 12448 North 5th West (Lewisville Highway), with Bishop David Keck officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. Following the services we will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the LDS Church in Thayne, Wyoming to go in procession to the cemetery. Burial will be in the Thayne Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
