LESLIE A. "BOB" JEPHSON
COLTMAN, ID -- Leslie Allen “Bob” Jephson, 80, longtime Coltman resident, died March 19, 2003 at his home from causes related to Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born December 9, 1922, in Coltman, Idaho, to Leslie Leonard Jephson and Selma Elizebeth Timm Jephson. He grew up there, attending Coltman Elementary and Ucon High School.
He served as a Private First Class in the Army during World War II.
He married Helen Munson November 18, 1944, in Tyler, Texas. Their marriage was solemnized November 25, 1964 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He worked his whole life as a farmer and dairyman.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as a Sunday School Teacher for several years, as a Scout Master and as Elder's Quorum President.
He enjoyed writing poems, was a contributing opinions writer for the Eastern Idaho Farmer and the Rexburg Standard Journal newspapers, and was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday March 22, 2003, at the Coltman LDS 2nd Ward (12448 North 5th East), with Bishop Dave Keck officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.) and for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
