Leroy Messick

Darwin LeRoy Messick, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 18, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

LeRoy was born February 1, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Darwin LeRoy Messick and Dorothy Lee Harkness Messick. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, including Skyline High School.

On June 3, 1995, he married Lisa Gae Ferrin in Victor, Idaho. LeRoy and Lisa made their home in Idaho Falls where LeRoy worked as a truck driver for Jefferson Country Road & Bridge.

He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and 4-wheeling.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Lisa Messick of Idaho Falls; sister, Dana (Jerry) Gardner of Idaho Falls; mother-in-law, Diane Schilts of Iona, ID; sister-in-law, Brenda (Dennis) Olson of Idaho Falls; niece, Laci (Brad) Stanger of Idaho Falls; nephew, Steven (Nicholle) Hall of Idaho Falls; niece, Katricia (Ian) Barton of Idaho Falls; niece, Amanda (Henry) Woods of Vancouver, WA; niece, Meshelle (Frank) Nolan of Idaho Falls; nephew, Kyler (Rochelle) Olson of Idaho Falls; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

LeRoy thought of his nieces and nephews as his own children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kent Messick.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
