IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Leona M. Crockett Page, 82, of Idaho Falls, died March 14, 2002, at her home.
She was born May 23, 1919 at Ogden, Utah to John W. Crockett and Effie Gwynner Hooper Crockett. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Ogden High School. Following graduation, she attended Weber College and Dee Memorial Nursing School. She served in the U. S. Army during World War II in India and Burma as a First Lieutenant in the Nurse's Corps.
She married Karl Grant Page on July 30, 1941 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She worked as a Registered Nurse at LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls. She also was co-owner of The Outdoorsman. She volunteered regularly for the Red Cross.
In the last years of her life she shared her secrets of the kitchen with her children and grandchildren, passing along her passion for the creation of great food. She was the center of the family through good times and bad, gently providing counsel and a soft warm spot to escape the trials of the world.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed birdwatching, fly fishing, cooking, and was an accomplished marksman.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Effie, and her brother, Warren.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with Jon A. Wood officiating. The family will meet with friends on Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by Bonneville County Veterans Team.
In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1920 E. 17th Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83404, would be appreciated.
