LEON CHEA
IRWIN, ID -- Leon Dean Chea, 37, of Irwin, Idaho, died January 31, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 1, 1965, in Denver, Colorado, to Leo Chea and Lynda Ritz Chea. He graduated from Arvada High School. He lived in Arvada for 27 years, Cheyenne and Burns, Wyoming for five years, Vernal, Utah and Swan Valley for the past four years.
He married Rebecca Christine Roof August 28, 1997 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He worked in Construction for 15 years, 11 years for the USDA and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in maintenance and carpentry, and for the past four years has worked for the Bureau of Reclamation at the Palisades Dam.
He served as volunteer Battalion Chief for the Swan Valley Fire Department and was a volunteer EMT
He attended the Chapel in the Valley in Swan Valley and served as a Youth Group Leader. He was very active in coaching youth football, baseball, basketball, soccer and working with youth in several other activities.
He enjoyed volunteer service, being outdoors, doing carpentry, hunting, fishing and camping.
Surviving are:Wife: Rebecca Chea, Irwin, IDSon: Leo Chea, Irwin, IDDaughter: Lyndsey Chea, Irwin, IDParents: Leo and Lynda Chea, Arvada, COSister: Leah Chea, Arvada, CONephew: Brian Cirbo, Arvada, COHe was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew and an Uncle, David Ritz.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at the Chapel in the Valley in Swan Valley, with Pastor Ronald Matheney officiating.
The family will visit with friends for one hour before services at the church.
Burial will be in Denver, Colorado under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
