LEO R. MILES
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Leo Ray Miles, 66, life long resident
of Blackfoot, died June 10, 2003, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
He was born December 22, 1936 at Blackfoot to Ray Miles
and Laura Elmina Hopkins Miles. He attended schools in Blackfoot, graduating
from high school in 1955. Later, he attended Heating & Air trade schools.
He served as a Private First Class in the U. S. Army.
On September 18, 1961, he married Darlene Jenkins in the
Logan LDS Temple. Beginning in 1964, he and his brother, David, owned Miles
Metal Works. In 1987, when David passed away, Leo and Darlene became the
owners and changed the name to Miles Heating & Air Conditioning. He
was also a member of the American Legion.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, he served as Sunday School President, Counselor in the Young Men's
organization, Executive Secretary of the High Priest's Group, and as a Seventy
for many years. He also served a mission to the East Central States.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, bargain hunting and coin
collecting. His greatest joy came from his family and he loved spending
time with his children and grandchildren.

Sister-in-law: Rhea Miles, Blackfoot, ID
Sister: Sharon (John) Wilkins, Beaverton, OR
13 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David; and a daughter,
Suzette.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, June 14,
2003, at the Blackfoot LDS 4th Ward (520 N. Shilling), with Bishop Noel
Johnson officiating.
The family will meet with friends on Friday from 7-8:30
p.m. at the Blackfoot LDS 4th Ward and for one hour prior to the services
also at the church.
Burial will be in Riverside-Thomas Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, Idaho Falls, ID 83406.
