LEO J. McQUINN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Leo Joseph McQuinn, 71, formerly of Idaho Falls, formerly of Fort Benton, Montana, died January 18, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 12, 1931, in Clyde, Missouri, to Thomas Joseph McQuinn and Eleanor Elizabeth Zirfas McQuinn. He grew up and attended school in Stanberry, Missouri. In 1968, he moved to Fort Benton, Montana, and has lived in Idaho Falls for the past year.
He served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fort Benton.
He was employed by the City of Fort Benton from 1975 until his retirement as City Superintendent in 1992. He also worked on several farms around Fort Benton.
He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Delaney and Cameron Young, fishing, hunting, and driving the countryside to observe growing crops.
Surviving are:Daughter: Laura (David) Young, Idaho Falls, IDSister: Anna A. (Vincent) Henggeler, Stanberry, MD 2 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John McQuinn, and a sister, Margaret McQuinn.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Father Arnold Miller of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church officiating.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
