Leo Croft - 08/09/2002 Leo Croft - 08/09/2002 LEO J. CROFT IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO: Leo Joseph Croft, 84, of Idaho Falls, died August 7, 2002, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from complications resulting from an automobile accident. He was born May 24, 1918 at Iona to John Leo Croft and Zita Margaret Gerber Croft. He grew up and attended schools in Iona. He married Donna Louise Wadsworth on August 31, 1963 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked for 30 years as a dry farmer for the Simmons Family and worked at Lincoln Sugar Factory in the winter. Later in his life he worked in customer service at Smith Chevrolet. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings, most recently as High Priest Group Secretary. He was a dedicated home teacher for many years. He enjoyed polishing rocks and making jewelry from them. He loved to garden and share the produce with others, work in his yard and was very fond of animals. He loved going to the hills where he spent much of his childhood. Every Thursday he enjoyed having lunch with his friends from Smith Chevrolet; he was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are:Wife: Donna Croft, Iona, IDSister-in-law: Rhea Croft, Idaho Falls, IDNieces and NephewsHe was preceded in death by a brother, Merle E. Croft. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, August 12, 2002, at the Iona LDS 3rd Ward (5169 E. Denning), with Bishop William Krantz officiating. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Eastside Chapel (963 S. Ammon Rd.) and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
