Lenore Jones

Lenore Munson Jones, 86, of Ucon, passed away April 6, 2015, at Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg, Idaho, of natural causes. She was under the care of her loving family and Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Lenore was born January 30, 1929, in Milo, Idaho, to Swen Munson and Carrie Elizabeth Bradshaw Munson. She grew up and lived on the family farm in Coltman, and attended schools in the Ucon area. In 1947, she married Morris Nielsen, and to that union, Shirley was born. On October 6, 1951, she married Raymond Marcus Jones in Elko, Nevada. To this union were born four children, Terry, Ray, Craig, and Steve. Lenore and Raymond made their home in Ucon where Lenore was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, reading, going on rides, family gatherings, and attending grandchildren’s activities. Lenore is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond Jones of Ucon, ID; daughter, Shirley (Paul) Steel of Rexburg, ID; son, Terry (Marilyn) Jones of Boise, ID; son, Ray (Jill) Jones of Boise, ID; son, Craig (Mindy) Jones of Bend, OR; sister, Helen Jephson of Coltman, ID; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Swen and Carrie Munson; son, Steve Jones; brothers, Jack, Bud, Wayne, and Edwin Munson; stepsister, Nickie Everett. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Ucon LDS Monument Ward, 10854 North 41 East, with Bishop Rod South officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
