Lela Mae Loveridge, 89, of Ammon, passed away January 17, 2017, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
Lela was born January 22, 1927, in Iona, Idaho, to Thomas Joseph Pearce and Harriet Amanda Loveland Pearce. She grew up and attended schools in Iona and graduated from Iona High School.
On May 12, 1950, she married Rodger Grant Loveridge in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born four children, Marsha, Leonard, Vesta, and Grant. Lela and Rodger made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Lela was a homemaker.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Family was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed camping, baking, candy making, knitting, and crocheting. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Lela is survived by daughter, Marsha (Donald) Felton of Mesquite, TX, son, Leonard (Teresa) Loveridge of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Vesta (Michael) Baker of Ammon, ID, son, Grant (Alice) Loveridge of Meridian, ID, 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger, her parents, her sisters Elma Gray, Dorothy Prestwich, Veda Nelson, and Lorna Meppen, and her brothers, Vernon, Melvin, and Everett Pearce.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Bishop Lorin McArthur of the Ammon LDS 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
