Lee “Cowboy” Jacobsen, 100, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 31, 2010, at Turtle and Crane Assisted Living. He was born January 8, 1910, in Bloomington, Idaho to Andrew Moroni Jacobsen and Mary Alice Thompson Jacobsen. He grew up and attended schools in the area. On December 5, 1938, he married Caroline Holland in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Island Park where he was a rancher. He also served on the Board of Directors of Harriman State Park. Lee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed horses, leathertooling, and especially loved his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Survivors are: Son: Larry L. (Sandy) Jacobsen, Belgrade, MT Son: Cody (Pat) Jacobsen, Murray, UT Brother: Roy (Lorraine) Jacobsen, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Jerry Jacobsen, Idaho Falls, ID 8 Grandchildren 15 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Eldon, Delford, and Ambert; and sisters, Erma, Venna, and Delia; and Great Grandson, J.D. Jacobsen. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.). The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery.
