LEDA WEECH ST. GEORGE, UT -- Leda Weech, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 13, 2007 at Porter's Nursing Home in St. George, Utah. She was born March 20, 1915, in Groveland, Idaho, to Samuel and Janette Nyman Seamons. Leda and her twin brother, Leon, were the 6th and 7th children born to this union. She was the last sibling of the family of eight, four bothers and three sisters, to pass away. She lived in Groveland until she married Dean Tucker on November 9, 1932, in the Logan LDS Temple. Four children were born to this union. Berdean, (died at birth), Robert Tucker of Temecula, CA, Diane (Richard) O'Brien of Coronado, CA and Trudy Kelly (Roger) Stokes of St. George, Utah. From these three children she has 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great, great, grandchildren. They lived in Wapello, Idaho, until 1947, then moved to Idaho Falls, were she worked for C.C. Anderson's Department Store and later in the accounting department for Phillips Petroleum Company with the Atomic Energy Commission. Dean and Leda divorced in 1960. Leda moved to Springville, New York, where she married Marx Weech, May 11, 1965. They later moved to San Jose, California, where they lived until they retired to Idaho Falls in 1990. Marx preceded her in death on September 30, 2003. From this marriage she has three step-children, Ann Weech, Marysville, WA, Bruce Weech, Mt. Vernon, WA, and Paul (Rene) Weech, Cameron Park, CA, eight step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. Over the years Leda was very active in many areas. She sang in church choirs and held several church positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because of her beauty, both internal and external, she was elected Valentine Queen of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority several times. She loved to laugh and have a good time, especially with her sisters. Leda loved to have people come see her. She was always inviting everyone to come to their home and she always made you feel welcome. She was very talented in so many ways in sewing, decorating and most of all painting. She left a legacy of enough paintings for her children, grandchildren and friends. After the death of her husband Marx, her children moved her to St. George, Utah, where they could have her close to them. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. Viewing will be one hour before the services. Interment will be at the Groveland Cemetery. --------------------------------------------------------
