Leatha Perrenoud

Leatha Marie Sommer Perrenoud, 94, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 7, 2013, at her home. She was born May 16, 1918, in Hibbard, Idaho to William Sommer and Leannah Mary Rock Sommer. She grew up and attended schools in the area. On December 16, 1936, she married Floyd Richard Perrenoud in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She was a mother and homemaker. In 1953, they moved to Idaho Falls where she worked at Farr’s Ice Cream and for the Bonneville School District. Leatha was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, pinochle, camping, fishing, home canning, and reading. She especially loved animals and the Utah Jazz. Survivors are: Son: R. Kent Perrenoud (companion, Richard Oram), Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Mack (Rachel) Sommer, Phoenix, AZ Grandchildren: Michelle Perrenoud, Idaho Falls, Wes F. Taggart, Maryland 4 great grandsons and 2 great great grandsons Leatha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 6 siblings. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Paule Patterson, great grandson, officiating. The family will meet with friends Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Plano Cemetery.
