Layne Holden

Layne Bradley Holden, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully February 8, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Layne was born February 16, 1952, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lynn Bradley and Jeanne Anderson Bradley (later Larsen). She grew up in Shelley, Idaho, and graduated from Shelley High School in 1971. After graduating from high school, Layne attended Idaho State University. Layne found her career at the Idaho National Environmental Laboratories / Lockheed Martin, and met many of her lifelong friends. On May 16, 1986, she married William T. Holden in Nampa, Idaho. Layne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, drawing and painting. She adored animals of all kinds and loved caring for them. Layne also enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time at the family ranch in Palisades, Idaho. Layne loved the University of Idaho and was proud to earn a certificate in Industrial Safety from the U of I. Layne is survived by her husband of 28 years, William T. Holden of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Bradley (Josie) Ball of Billings, MT; son, William S. (Heather) Holden, II of Idaho Falls, ID; stepdaughter, Suzanne (Dan) Ruza of Stillwater, MN; stepdaughter, Julie (Jack) Hawkins of Boise, ID; sister, Marsha Fitch of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Joe (Kirstie) Bradley of Boise, ID; nine grandchildren, Henry Ball, Grant Ball, Jack Ball, Liam Holden, Hayden Chapple, Madison Chapple, Josh Ruza, Kenna Hawkins, and Megan Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn Bradley and Jeanne Larsen, a sister, Linda Bradley, and two brothers, Scott Bradley and Michael Bradley.
