Lawson Ray Bare

Lawson Ray Bare, 72, of Mud Lake, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on April 25, 2026.

Lawson was born on October 31, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Bob and Katherine Bare. He was the second of five boys and grew up alongside his brothers Casey, Rob, Jeff, and Brian. He attended Terreton Elementary and graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1973.

Following high school, Lawson worked a variety of jobs, including moving sprinkler pipe for Ken Bare and working for Furness Brothers Feed Company. He later began a long and dedicated career at the INL, where he worked for 48 years before retiring in the spring of 2025. Lawson took great pride in his work and was deeply honored when Gaylon Hanson visited his home to present him with an award recognizing his years of dedicated service.

Lawson will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his quiet kindness, and his deep appreciation for family and community. He also held a special place in the hearts of his great-nieces and great-nephews, who will fondly remember the cookies he always had to share with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Katherine Bare; and his brothers, Rob and Jeff.

He is lovingly survived by his brothers, Casey (Shawna), and Brian (Tina); as well as six nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Terreton, ID.
