Lavon C. Stoneberg

Lavon C. Stoneberg, 66, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away December 20, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Lavon was born April 14, 1957, in Waco, Texas, to Sam Allen Coone and Lovina Louise Bearden-Kirby Coone. She grew up and attended schools in San Angelo, Texas, and graduated from University High School in 1976. On October 21, 1985, she married Keith R. Stoneberg in Montana. Lavon and Keith made their home in Idaho Falls. Lavon owned a daycare for fifteen years and helped care for Keith who had Multiple Sclerosis until his passing in 2006.

She was a member of Eagle Rock Baptist Church and loved the Lord. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and spending time with loved ones.

Lavon had a huge heart and she helped anyone around her in various ways. Everyone knew her as “the woman who gave.” Lavon is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Andrew) Anderson of Boise, ID, Samantha (Brian) Vanleuven of Idaho Falls, ID, and K’bree Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Rhonda (David) Coone-Wiley of TX; brother, Dusty (Cindy) Lilley of TX; step-brother, Gilbert Harty Jr.; sister, Loretta Lilley Doiel of TX; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Stoneberg; daughter, Sarah R. Humphreys; sons, Nathan and Jeremiah Stoneberg; grandson, Michael Humphreys; parents; brothers, Sammy Coone and Kenneth Coone; sisters, Judith Coone and Judy Dobbs; and stepmother, Frances E. Coone. The family will conduct a Life Celebration on their own. In lieu of flowers or giving, the family asks that you please make donations on Lavon's behalf to the Idaho Falls, Idaho Rescue Mission for women and children.
