Leatha Lavon Clark Ferguson, 86, of the Ririe-Shelton area, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, at The Gables of Ammon. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Lavon was born November 16, 1927, in Rigby, Idaho, to Charles Elton Clark and Leatha Luella Howard Clark. She spent her first five years in Mud Springs, Idaho, then grew up and attended schools in Ririe. She lived on the family farm in Shelton for 65 years. On July 26, 1944, she married Dearold James Ferguson in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They raised their family of seven children on the family farm in Shelton. Lavon was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and farm wife. She also worked as a Librarian at Bonneville High School. Dearold passed away February 9, 2012. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many areas, including as ward Relief Society President. Lavon enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, sewing, quilting, snowmobiling, fishing, and camping. Survivors include: Son: Darold Kym (Anne) Ferguson of Ririe, ID; Daughter: Judy Lyn Hall of Boise, ID; Son: Micheal Vaun (Connie) Ferguson of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Peggy Sue (Rick) Linville of Missoula, MT; Brother: Larry Elton (Jennie) Clark of Idaho Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dearold Ferguson, three sons, Lyle J. Ferguson, Charles Mark Ferguson, and Jesse Waid Ferguson; and a sister, Jean Kerr. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014, at the Ririe LDS Stake Center, 14061 North 130 East, with Bishop Jeff Sutton of the Shelton Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.

11:00 a.m. ,Friday, August 8, 2014 Ririe LDS Stake Center 14061 North 130 East Ririe, ID 83443 Notes: The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
