LAVERL "TATE" GRAY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Laverl Pulley “Tate” Gray, 90, of Idaho Falls died July 16, 2006, at his home. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
He was born January 5, 1916 in Lehi, Utah, to Arch Charles Gray and Theone Pulley Gray. He grew up in the York and Osgood areas and attended schools there.
He married Beth C. Phillips on December 15, 1938, in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple December 2, 1954. He was a rancher and farmed all of his life.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and sharing his garden with everyone. He especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren and teasing them.
He is survived by his wife, Beth;
Daughter, Charlotte ( Derald) Schafer of Burley;
Son, Dennis (Joyce) Gray of Lindon, UT;
Son, Danny (Elaine) Gray of Lolo, MT;
Son, Douglas (Verline) of Idaho Falls;
Daughter, Christine (Les) Wanlass of Ammon;
Son, David (Tammy) Gray of Safford, AZ;
Daughter, Susan (Clint) Wheeler of Shelley;
Son-In-Law, Jim Hofmann of Springville, UT;
Daughter-In-Law, Vicki Andersen of Dillon, MT;
Brothers, Vern Gray and Lester (Virginia) Gray
Sisters: Fern (Doyle) Warnock, Illa (Don) Wilde and
Dorothy (Calvin) Hunsaker
27 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bruce Schafer, son, Darrell, daughter, Shirley;
Brothers, Wayne, Dee and Ivan, and a sister, Ruby Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward, 7940 North 35th West, with Bishop Gregg Landon officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.

I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Tate. He has moved on to a much better place. He will be missed by a lot of people. One day we will all be together again. I just got back into town today and heard about his passing. We love you all.
