LARRY NESSEN
BEAVERTON, OR -- Laurence “Larry Nessen, 59, formerly
of Idaho Falls, died February 17, 2004, at his home in Beaverton, Oregon.
He was born February 24, 1944, at Idaho Falls, to Thomas
Nessen and Georgia William Nessen. He grew up and attended schools in
Idaho Falls. He served in the U. S. Navy.
On June 27, 1967, he married Christine Jackson in Elko,
Nevada. On August 7, 1980, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho
Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Idaho Falls, then Rupert for 17 years
and for the past 5 years they have lived in Beaverton, Oregon. He was
an Instrument Technician for U & I Sugar from 1967 until its closing
in 1979. In 1980, he went to work for Amalgamated Sugar until he was disabled.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints and served in the Scouting program. He enjoyed bowling, fishing,
camping and computers.

Sister: Marie (Bill) Deschamps, Rio Verde, AZ
Sister: Betty Nessen, Tacoma, WA
6 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky, his parents, and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February
23, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with President Cleon Olson
officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7 to
8:30 p.m. and Monday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood
Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
