Lauren Elizabeth Franklin, 11, of Ammon passed away October 1, 2010, at her home due to complications of liver cancer. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Lauren was born September 21, 1999, in Bitburg, Germany, to Shawn David Franklin and Mary Jo Hoffman Franklin. She spent two years in Speicher, Germany, three years in Wichita Falls, Texas, and her remaining years in Ammon. She was a student at Tiebreaker Elementary School.
Lauren was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lauren enjoyed art, swimming, singing, animals, hanging out with friends, making jewelry, baking, and cooking. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Lauren knew of her immense love for her family and friends. She was a giving, pure and thoughtful soul.
Lauren is survived by her mother, Mary Franklin, and her sister, Kellee Nicole Franklin, both of Ammon, ID, her father, Shawn D. Franklin of Las Vegas, NV, her grandparents, Sandy and Ben Wade of Lewisville, TX, and her grandfather, Jim Franklin, of Key West, FL.
Funeral Services for Lauren will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, October 7, 2010, at the Ammon LDS 26th Ward, 1100 South Tiebreaker, with Bishop Rod Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11 - 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010, in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem, Utah.
