MAE ORR
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO -- Laura “Mae” Sabin Orr, 79, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away August 15, 2009, at her home in Boise, Idaho.
She was born September 25, 1929, at Shelley, Idaho to Wilbur Vernon Sabin and Laura Melvina Yancey Sabin. The family moved to Pocatello where she attended elementary school and later high school.
She moved to Idaho Falls where she worked for White Star Laundry. She met her husband, William "Bill" Stewart Orr, at the laundry and they were married on December 31, 1947, in Idaho Falls. They lived in Blackfoot and Idaho Falls. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and also worked as a cook at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mae loved animals and crocheting.

Daughter: Billie (Scott) Ellsworth, Boise, ID
Son: Perry (JoAnne) Orr, Underwood, Minnesota
Son: Danny (Danette) Orr, Pocatello, ID
Daughter: Crystall Staples, Blackfoot, ID
18 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, LeRoy Sabin; and a sister, Nellie Jones.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009, at Fielding Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge).
