LAURA M. HOOKER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Laura May Hooker, 91, of Idaho Falls, died January 3, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 9, 1911 at Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Marion Andrew Dullaghan and Harriet May Phillabaum Dullaghan. She attended Riverside Elementary in Idaho Falls, Harriet Beecher Stowe Grade School in Chicago, and one year of high school.
She married Lawnie Howell Hooker on May 28, 1938, in Idaho Falls. She was a mother and homemaker. She also worked as a long distance telephone operator for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and as a clerk for the Chicago Telephone Co. While living in Idaho Falls, she worked for C. C. Anderson as a cashier and later as an Avon Representative.
She attended the Baptist Church, Idaho Falls Christian Center, and Shiloh Foursquare Church.
Surviving are:Son: Wayne Hooker, Idaho Falls3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.She was preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at Wood Chapel of the Pines (273 North Ridge Avenue), with Pastor Tony Maupin of the Shiloh Foursquare Church officiating.
The family will meet with friends for one hour before the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
Laura was such a sunny, bright person. I rememer the thanksgiving dinner she cooked for us when I was in elementary school. My prayers for comfort are with you.
