Laura Robinson Hatch Wagoner, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 22, 2021, at The Gables Assisted Living Center of Idaho Falls. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Laura was born September 6, 1930, in Tetonia, Idaho, to Mark Holbrook Hatch and Hattie Leone Robinson Hatch. She grew up and attended schools in Teton Valley and graduated from Teton High School.
Upon graduating, Laura moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Wagoner. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 13, 1949. Laura and Ken made their home on a farm south of Idaho Falls. In 1970, they purchased a farm west of Shelley, Idaho. In 1973, they sold the farm and moved to Rexburg, Idaho, for a taste of city life. In 1985, Laura went to work at the Beehive Clothing Center in Rexburg where she was the manager for 15 years. She retired in 2000. Laura also volunteered at the Madison County Senior Citizen Center and was on the Board of Directors. In 2006, Laura and Ken left Rexburg and moved to Ammon, Idaho.
Laura was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many church positions.
Laura is survived by her son, Vaughn (Arita) Wagoner of Middleton, ID; son, Michael (Pam) Wagoner of Blackfoot, ID; daughter, Kenna (Lance) Carter of Sugar City, ID; son, Gary (Collette) Wagoner of Blackfoot, ID; sister, Velma O’Brien of Rexburg, ID; sister, Alice Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; 16 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wagoner; parents; and her brother, Verl Hatch.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, June 28, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Brother Cory Brower officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Hands of Hope and the Gables of Idaho Falls for all the tender loving care they gave our dear mother.
