LAURA KAYE DAY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Laura Kaye Day, 62, of Idaho Falls, died August 20, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born October 2, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Donald and Ida Wasetis. She was raised by her stepfather, George Worthing, and his parents. She graduated from Clearfield High School, where she earned an academic award for swimming. She later received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree. On August 6, 1955, she married William Ned Day, Sr in Clearfield, Utah. She worked in the cafeteria at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah. Later, she became co-owner of a Husky Service Station and a golf course. After receiving her LPN degree, she worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crossword puzzles, music, walks, animals, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and golf. Laura especially enjoyed spending time with her family, including her granddaughter, Keeshia Day. Surviving are: Husband: William Day, Sr., Idaho Falls, ID Son: William Ned Day, Jr., Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Laura Jean Day, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tessla Marie Day, Idaho Falls, ID 1 Grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Karl Dennis Day, and a granddaughter, Angelina “Angel” Kaye Day. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, Idaho Falls, ID 83406.
