Larry Worthington

Larry Frank (Lee) Worthington, son of Lee and Mary Howard Worthington was born Dec. 30, 1942, in the town of Standardville, Utah. He left us, unwillingly, after battling cancer on May 30, 2017.

Larry grew up around East Carbon (Dragerton), Utah. He loved hunting deer, playing guitar and drums, and dancing. Larry lived, worked and played hard. He did a stint in the Army, worked as a surveyor, a sawyer, an arborist, a farmer, and for Basic American Foods in Shelley. He enjoyed photography, nature, watching for deer, birds, any type of critter. He cared for many animals, and was a squirrel preservationist extraordinaire! What he earned he shared with Glenda Civish, his wife of 45 years, and his sons Ray and Scott. His family had everything they needed.

He loved tinkering and fabricating his own accessories and implements to care for the land he lived on and loved. Raised at the end of a depression, he saw value in everything. We joked he had enough material and tools to build a space shuttle, if he could only find them. Everywhere he went he recognized friends and took time to talk with them. IHOP, Sears, and Harbor freight were his Shangri La. There were always stacks of JC Whitney catalogs where he sat. Larry chose cremation. His final resting place has yet to be chosen. He was a hell of a Good Husband. We love and miss you.

A gathering will be held on Friday June 16th from 1:00 to 3:00pm at his residence 1486 N. 475 E. Shelley Id., for family and friends to remember him.
