Larry B. Whitehead - 02/17/2003 Larry B. Whitehead - 02/17/2003 LARRY B. WHITEHEAD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Larry Boyd Whitehead, 64, of Idaho Falls, died February 14, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. He was surrounded by his family. He was born May 6, 1938, in Idaho Falls, to Seymore Clyde Whitehead and Mary Elizabeth Bateman Whitehead. He grew up on a farm in the Iona area, where he attended schools, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1956. On October 24, 1958, he married his high school sweetheart, Venice Gayle Croft, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a Farm Equipment Mechanic and Salesman. He especially enjoyed the years he spent as a Regional Service Representative for White Farm Equipment. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several positions, including Young Men's Secretary, Scoutmaster, Home Teacher, Young Adult Representative, and Church Magazine Specialist. He enjoyed golfing and making golf clubs. He recently completed sets of golf clubs for four of his grandsons. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and took annual steelhead fishing trips with his buddies. Many evenings were spent playing card games with friends and family. Surviving are:Wife: Venice Whitehead, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Janet Lynn (Albert) Richan, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Larry Michael (Debbie) Whitehead, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Susan Marie (Bryan) Clark, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Debra Lee (Jeff) Skinner, Iona, IDSon: Bradley Dee (Julie) Whitehead, Idaho Falls, IDBrother: Donald Ray (Linda) Whitehead, Idaho Falls, ID 17 Grandchildren and 2Great Grandchildren.He was welcomed home by his parents; a brother, Harvey Whitehead and a sister, Helen Gardner. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2003, at the Iona LDS 3rd Ward (5169 East Denning), with Bishop Bill Krantz officiating. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
